Hello everyone, wish you all a great and happy night, once again my name is Carlos Fernandez, some friends and family members also call me “Carlitos”. One of my favorite hobbies is to build computers, that’s why I am majoring in computer engineering. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, and 3 years ago I moved with my mom to the United States, specifically to New York City. When I came to the States, and I was getting into high school, the school decided to put me two grades below the one I was supposed to be because I was missing some of the state’s credits that I needed to graduate from high school. Since then, I began to look more and more into the computer world, specifically into the hardware and how all of them combine together to make a computer work. Back when I was still living in the DR, my mom decided to put me in an English academy where I took some courses and learned most of the basic things about the language, however my main language and the one I feel more comfortable with, is Spanish which is my home country language. Some issues that I personally have while writing an essay, is trying to find the correct word or sentence in a specific area of the writing and also, sometimes I get lost with what structure I should follow to complete the essay. One of my favorite books is “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank, which I personally really like because it really amazed me how a 13 year old could have written such an interesting and well structured story about her difficult experience during that period of time. Now speaking about a book I do not like not because it is a bad book which is clearly not the case because Don Quixote is one of the biggest pieces of literature in modern history but because the way in which Spanish was written back in the 15th century, make it somewhat difficult to understand. One quality about me that could be interesting is that I really enjoy building computers and when I say “enjoy” I mean that I REALLY love building them, and I am a huge fan of computer’s hardware and how each individual component of a computer does its job so the machine can work properly. Another quality about me is that I really enjoy helping others when they need it, that’s why my family and friends consider me a very noble, kind and respectful person.
